I am African American and I am curious about shoe color. that owner of the studio suggested black shoes because they "will create a long line." I disagree because my complexion is not black and to create the "long line" I will always have to wear black hose...which I don't want to do. What color would you suggest....it is hard to tell from the pictures...some of the shoes labeled as brown don't always look brown on the pictures.....

Hi there Carrie, Thanks for reading our blog. You pose an interesting question. Ultimately, I believe finding a match to your skin tone will boil down to visually matching the colour of the shoe to your pigment as closely as possible. As you have noticed, our manufacturer has many different shades of "brown", so the only solution I can recommend would be to try to match is as closely as possible based on the shade you see on the screen. Hope this helps and feel free to contact us should you have any further questions. Good luck finding the right shoe!
